New Solar Hot-Water System Improved Heat Collection by 23%

Professor Kazuaki Bougaki of Tokyo City University released that his study team had developed a new type of solar hot water system, which could increase the amount of heat collection by about 20%.

The study was a joint research with Sekisui House and Tokyo Gas.

The team put several types of reflective plates on the front of heat collectors.
As the result it found out that an aluminum plate of 1 meter width, put on the level [with heat collectors, as far as the webmaster understands], had been most efficient and that it had improved heat collection by 23 % as compared with a system without reflective plate.
