Feasibility Study of "Floating Solar Panel" in Ono, Hyogo


Hyogo prefecture started the feasibility study about floating solar panels on agricultural reservoir in Ono city.

It will test two types of 20 kW floating solar.
One is tilted at 10 degree and is moored by wires, and the other is at 20 degree and has sinkers.

Citizen-Invested Solar System Started Operation in Tama, Tokyo


Tama Denryoku Limited Liability Company, which has collected investments from citizens, started the operation of a 30 kW solar facility in Keisen University in Tama city, Tokyo, on 6th.

All the electricity to be generated will be sold to Tokyo Electric Power.

The facility is the first project for the company.
And Tama Denryoku aims to install solar systems of 1MW in total in a year.

School as Power Station: Project Started in Suginami, Tokyo


Suginami ward in Tokyo is going to install solar facilities in all the municipal elementary schools and middle schools.

The municipality intends the schools to function as solar stations in the case of emergency.

The project is of three-year period and the investment will cost at least 300 million JPY.

Kyocera Donated Solar Systems to African Schools


Kyocera recently donated its solar systems to four junior-high schools in Tanzania and to three elementary schools in Uganda.

The project has contributed solar systems and other electric appliances to schools in both countries since 2009.

Tohoku Solar Power Started Construction of 1.1MW Solar in Shiroishi, Miyagi


Tohoku Solar Power started the construction of a 1.1 MW solar facility in Shiroishi city, Miyagi prefecture.

The power station is going to be built on an idle land owned by the prefecture.
And the municipal government had chosen the company for the project last December.

The investment is 360 million JPY. The station will start operation in December.
