Riso Kogyo to Sell Solar-Powered Printing Machines in Africa

The copy machine manufacturer Riso Kogyo in Tokyo recently settled a business objective that it would sell 300 to 500 solar-powered printing machines per year in Africa.

The screen printing machine, named "Riso Solar System," has solar panels as well as a secondary battery.

When the panels fully charge the battery after eight hours of sunshine, the machine will be able to print on 15 thousand to 20 thousand sheets of paper.

Screen printing machine consumes much less electricity than photocopying machine, because it doesn't have heat processing. The company had an eye to the merit.
