3.5 Biomass Station in Maibara, Shiga

Ibuki Green Energy in Maibara city of Shiga prefecture will embark on woody biomass power generation, which will be the first case in the prefecture.

The output capacity is 3.5MW and the monthly generation is estimated to be 1.9 million kWh.
Most of the electricity to be generated will be sold to Kansai Electric Power.

The station will start operation in January 2015.
