The Second Off-shore Wind Station Started Operation in Kitakyushu

The joint project of NEDO (New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization) and J-Power started operation of the second off-shore wind turbine (imbedded type) in Kitakyusyu, Fukuoka prefecture, after the first in the offshore of Choshi city of  Chiba prefecture.

The turbine is 126 meters high and has 2 MW output capacity. Also, it utilizes the so-called "jacket style" base construction, which fits uneven ground under water.
