Mitsui ES to Build Biogas Power Plant in Betsukai, Hokkaido

Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) is going to build a biogas power plant using livestock dung in Betsukai town of Hokkaido prefecture.

The output capacity is 800 kW and will be of the biggest scale of this kind in Japan.

The company also intends to make a recovery system of livestock dung, which daily farmers in the area have had trouble disposing.
