New Coating for Solar Panels by Taiyo Toryo

Taiyo Toryo (Coating) in Ota ward, Tokyo, recently developed a transparent inorganic paint for cover glass of solar panels.

It enebles dust on panels to be easily carried away by rain or washing water.

The coating includes silicon and has a hydrophilic property, which makes a fibrous layer on the panel. That prevents dust from going into the layer.

Also, the paint cuts ultraviolet rays, so that it will contribute to long operating life of photovoltaic panels.
