NTT Smile Energy to Provide Solar Data to AIST

NTT Smile Energy in Osaka concluded a contract of affiliation with the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) about NTT's providing data of solar power generation accumulated by its "Eco Megane" service.

This is the first case of affiliation for which the AIST has asked to individuals and companies with solar facilities. The institute intends to collect and calculate exact amount of electricity generation by solar in Japan.

"Eco Megane (i.e. glasses)" of NTT Smile Energy has offered since 2011 a monitoring service of solar power generation, using a cloud environment.
